Luis Alt is a global partner and board member at Livework, the world’s first service design consultancy, where he leads the firm’s global innovation function. He founded its Brazilian operation in 2010 and works at the intersection of strategy, innovation, customer centricity and the future of services. He created Latin America’s first Design Thinking course at ESPM and authored Design Thinking Brasil, the first book on the subject published in Portuguese.

Luis Alt is a global partner and board member at Livework, the world’s first service design consultancy. He leads the firm’s global innovation function, turning its accumulated expertise into new offerings, methods and intellectual property, while helping shape Livework’s evolution and international growth.
In 2010, Luis founded Livework’s Brazilian operation. Over nearly two decades, he has helped major organisations in Brazil and internationally innovate, improve services and connect strategy, customer experience and operations. Trained in both Production Engineering and Product Design, he combines a systemic understanding of organisations with design’s capacity to understand people and imagine new possibilities.
Luis also played a formative role in establishing Design Thinking and Service Design in Latin America. He created the region’s first Design Thinking course at ESPM and authored Design Thinking Brasil, the first book on the subject published in Portuguese. He co-founded the Brazilian chapter of the Service Design Network and served on the Service Design Award jury from 2017 to 2024, chairing it in his final year.
A graduate of Fundação Dom Cabral’s PDC (Board Development Programme) and creator of the DECIDIR Method, Luis writes, teaches and speaks internationally about innovation, strategy, customer experience, decision-making and the future of services.
